How does it work?
The Oasis Pro for canines is an advanced underwater treadmill system that uses water buoyancy to provide low-impact exercise for rehabilitation, weight loss, and improving mobility in dogs with conditions like arthritis or neurological issues. The system allows for precise control of water level, incline, and speed, creating a controlled aquatic environment that reduces stress on joints while building muscle and increasing range of motion.
-
Joint Pain Relief:
Water's buoyancy supports a dog's weight, significantly reducing stress on painful joints, which provides relief for dogs with arthritis or other musculoskeletal conditions.
Muscle Strengthening:
The natural resistance of water requires more effort from a dog's muscles with every movement, helping to rebuild strength and endurance after injury or surgery.
Improved Mobility & Flexibility:
Hydrotherapy encourages a full range of motion, which can prevent stiffness and improve overall flexibility.
Weight Management:
The gentle, yet effective, exercise in water helps dogs burn calories without the high impact of land-based activities, making it a great tool for weight loss.
Promoting better blood circulation, hydrotherapy offers a gentle cardiovascular workout, particularly beneficial for older dogs or those with heart issues.
-
Increased Confidence:
As dogs experience freedom of movement with less pain, they can build confidence and feel more comfortable.
Reduced Anxiety:
The warm, relaxing environment of a hydrotherapy session can also help reduce anxiety and tension in dogs.
-
Post-Surgical Healing*:
By reducing weight-bearing stress and providing controlled resistance, hydrotherapy supports the healing process after surgeries like TPLO surgery.
Injury Recovery*:
The therapy helps in faster recovery from sprains and strains by allowing for safe movement and building supporting muscles.
